WJC: Dems "in better shape than it appears," Plus SHUMER/OBAMA in Coach

HERE'S HOW the Washington Post de scribed Bill Clinton recently: He had introduced himself to a group of campus activists as "the world's most famous sinner."

Reporter Dana Milbank went on to say that he was "the man who would be first lady" and claimed he was bucking for a more respectable title — "Hillary Clinton's presidential campaign manager."

He had been the student delegates' choice as keynote speaker, and he wore a yellow tie and a bracelet advertising his resistance to Colombian narco-trafficking. He urged his youthful audience to see the old movie "Advise & Consent," now out on DVD. He mentioned his saxophone.

And he told them that Democrats have no reason to despair: "We're in better shape than it appears we are."

COACH FOR CHUCK
SEN. Chuck Schumer is still taking a back seat to New York junior Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton — as evidenced by their seats on the 8 p.m. U.S. Air shuttle from Washington to New York last week. As Schumer shuffled aboard, he spotted Clinton tucked into the window seat in the first row of first class and Rep. Charlie Rangel in the aisle seat in the row behind her. Schumer then trudged off to coach, booming that he was "going to sit with the regular people," reports The Post's Ian Bishop, who notes Schumer was in good company in the cheap seats — Democratic darling Sen. Barack Obama (D-Ill.) was about a half-dozen rows behind him.

1. Gotta like Sen. Schumer
And think I need to write my Senator (Obama) to thank him for watching his budget.

5. Oh so very freaking sorry.
Especially as that indicates you may be in a "red" state. (though my Jr. Senator would shame me for the use of the term)

3. This is good. Somebody's watching their duckets.
But Hillary's maybe getting used to the idea of being front and center(?).

4. If Hillary wins? - she should make Bill The Unityed Nations Ambasedor
He has a way with words as we've all noticed, allow him to speak to other nations and restore/rebuild the faith with these nations that the USA isn't so terribly bad after all?
