scroll down to "Olberman"

Howard Fineman doesn't give much love to Bush in this interview.

Fineman reminds Keith Olbermann that Plamegate is really about the justification for the Iraq war. He suggests that this is bigger than Watergate because the president's poll numbers have been tumbling long before the latest scandal.

1. Gee, ya think Howard?
I wonder if his penetrating analysis will ever focus on the media's active complicity with selling Bush's illegal invasion? My guess is that I'm supposed to be grateful that the media are stirring in their slumber three years too late to affect anything that's happened, and maybe (just maybe) will now cast a slightly more cynical eye on the corrupt Bush administration's shenanigans.

5. Anne Kornblut from NYT on MSNBC
Anne Kornblut from NYT spoke on this aspect of what she called "navel gazing." She's said that readers are turned off by the media engaging in self-coverage.

3. Loved that clip!
But, what is it with the whores suddenly jumping back over from the dark side?
I mean, Fineman was one of the biggest Bush cheerleaders!

4. Ah, I get it now; mass murder's just fine if the poll numbers stay up.
One of the demoralizing feelings in many of our stomachs these days is the sad realization that had the war been a successful little bloodbath that settled down to humble subservience, few people would feel bad about it at all. Sometimes it's hard to love humanity when we so obviously suck.
