The Bush Administration is trying to take away the Air National Guard
from Delaware, leaving the Commander in Chief of the Delaware National Guard, Ruth Ann Minner, with NO AIRPLANES!

Has this fucker even looked at a map? Does he not know that Delaware is a very vulnerable state, situated between Washington and New York and that it is a coastal state? Even the Republican, Tom Carper, is fighting this one.

And, here I thought it was Clinton who was guilty of gutting the military.

1. Wasnt the Air National Guard the unit that Bush was supposed to be in?
When Commander AWOL was supposed to go to Nam? No wonder he wants it gutted!

2. He's gotta make it through 2006 without a draft, or he gets impeached.
'Cause if there's a draft before the mid-term elections, the Republicans are going to lose a staggeringly stupid number of seats.

4. I realize Delaware is a blue state, but we could use some
fucking planes. Oh wait, maybe the next attack will be by submarine and Delaware can just use the old shoreline watch towers from WWII that still exist.

6. No, no, I'm with you on this.
It wasn't so long ago, as I recall, that we were attacked via commercial airlines. One of the great failings of that day was our inability to get planes in the air within a reasonable amount of time.

Nothing like compounding a problem!

5. 'Clinton's' military was transformed
2 B a lean, mean, fighting machine.

under the neo-cons it is over-worked, under supplied, under compensated and under-fed. It has become fat by over funding w/ our tax dollars going down the halliburton rat hole. It appears war profiteering is now an honorable goal.
