Understanding the PPP
A public-private partnership (PPP) brings together corporations and government organizations to undertake projects neither sector could pull off alone.

The London Underground is the world’s oldest subway, and its age showed. After years of underinvestment leading to a “fix and mend” maintenance approach, the tangle of tunnels and rails beneath the city needed a massive financial infusion and a commitment to a systemwide overhaul. The solution: a unique public-private partnership between the Underground and Tube Lines, a consortium created for the project.

Isn't Bechtel one of the top no-bid contractors in Iraq?

3. Before the invasion, I wrote to her and she sent back
the most mendacious reply possible.

Diplomacy has failed & I have super secret knowledge that you don't. Trust me.

Yeah, right. I trust her all the way to the bank.

What a disgusting perversion of representative government she embodies. I remember when Mayor Moscone and Sup. Harvey Milk were murdered. She did something for this town then. She held it together.

You wouldn't recognize her as being the same person.

7. I think it's the wrong company
I don't think Blum is involved with Bechtel, he's tied up with URS and Perini Group. He's a war profiteer to be sure, but I don't think it's through Bechtel.
