9. I can tell you exactly what happened

Phelps enjoyed a lot of press coverage after Matthew Sheppard died and he thought this would last forever. Eventually the media started ignoring him again so he turned his sights on the soldiers and 9-11. He is just trying to get more attention.

I'm beginning to suspect the man is totally unhinged. I hope law enforcement is watching him very closely. The more people turn away from him and mock his antics, the more likely he is to literally engage in some homegrown terrorism against those he considers demon possessed or sinful or whatever his rant is.

He is a fool, but he is a mad fool, and that makes him a dangerous fool.
