Jeb Bush comments on Rove

"If it’s illegal to out a covert operator, then Karl didn’t do it and he’s not a target of the investigation. But it’s really kind of a symptom of the putrid nature of Washington DC to pile it on without any facts. There’s a special prosecutor doing this investigation. Karl’s not a subject to that probe. I don’t think…… I think it’s much to do about nothing, but we’ll see. Let the process work,”

Between Terry Schiavo theories and this, shouldn't he be reminded that he has a state to run?

3. Of course, Jeb is a completely impartial...
... observer in all this. Not that Rove is the principal political advisor to his brother, or that Rove might be essential for any attempt Jebbie might make to obtain the presidency in the future.

Nah, Jebbie's got no interest in this at all. Completely impartial. Uh, huh.... :)

4. Funny, because Rove's lawyer says he IS a SUBJECT of the probe
Apparently, Jeb misinterpreted the talking points, because Rove's lawyer has been pushing that he is not a TARGET of the probe, even though he is a SUBJECT.

These are all very important terms in prosecutorial lingo.

...yeah, just like he "weighed in" on the Schiavo Case....

Hey, Jeb! The only one suffering from the "putrid" nature to pile it on without any facts is you!

I paraphrased his statement to answer him back:

Since nothing Bill Clinton ever did was ever illegal or any of your business, he should never have been a target of your cynical, evil, and disgusting investigations. But it’s really kind of a symptom of the putrid nature of Washington DC to pile it on, especially when it's lying about sex outside of marriage. There was a special prosecutor who did your disgusting investigation, and you impeached a great President for nothing more than most of you haven't done yourself. President Clinton should never have been the subject of any probe. I know…… I think it was ever much to do about nothing for you or your hypocritical friends, but history will tell. We watched the process work, and we were appalled.

NOBODY DIED WHEN CLINTON LIED!

9. Sure, let the process work.
Jebby could be telling the truth, without telling the truth. If it's not Rove, then Fitzgerald should look a little higher up the food chain. There's not all that much further to go.

Translation... "If it's a crime, Karl's innocent."

By that logic, Rove could go murder someone in plain sight and be found innocent based only on the fact he's Karl Rove.

18. So let me get this straight......
It is not OK for Scotty to comment on an ongoing investigation. Scotty does not even feel HE is allowed to say that Rove is innocent, BUT it is perfectly OK for Jeb to makes comments? Am I in bizzaro world? Shouldn't it be appropriate for Scotty to say Rove is innocent and not for Jeb to make any comments? This admin is so messed up. I think the nest time Scotty says he can not comment, Jeb's comments should be thrown in his face.

20. Don't these people have
anyone to help them with a little research before they go out and make fools of themselves?

He should wish that Rove was the 'target' of the investigation. We get that he isn't, and we get how much more thrilling it is to think who actually is!!

But, while Rove was being used by the prosecutor to get to the real target, Jeb, it seems that Rove may have gotten into trouble himself. You have to wonder why these people are called 'geniuses'.

Here's the disclosure agreement signed by Karl Rove which he egregiously violated by his own admission, when he merely 'confirmed' what Novak told him about being ready to publish the name of a covert agent:

http://www.democrats.reform.house.gov/story.asp?ID=892&Issue=Disclosure+of+CIA+Agent+Identity

According to his agreement when he signed it, he was prohibited from confirming the identity of covert CIA agent Valerie Wilson to reporters. Under the nondisclosure agreement and the applicable executive order, even “negligent” disclosures to reporters are grounds for revocation of a security clearance or dismissal.

Thanks go to Rep. Henry Waxman for bringing our attention, (but apparently not Jeb's) to Karl Rove's treasonous behavior when, instead of telling Novak not to dare publish Valerie Wilson's name, he 'confirmed' Novak's information. And also for not reporting this to the CIA, which he was required to do under this agreement so that they could determine her status and take appropriate steps to protect this country's national security.

And these are the people who told us 'this is a country of laws, not men' 'til it was implanted in the brains of those unfortunate enough to live through 'sexgate' in the 'nineties!
