Great LTTE re: Mallard Fillmore
Affirmative action in the funnies?

I have read a number of letters to the editor, pro and con, regarding "Mallard Fillmore." I have yet to see anyone defend the comic strip on the basis that it is funny. Rather, it is defended on the basis that it balances the views presented in, for example, "Doonesbury."

I wonder if the cartoonist appreciates the irony that his supporters believe he is entitled to be published under the principle of "equal opportunity."

1. That comic is defiantly not funny
It's a wierd anti humor comic. And i'm not one of those people who doesn't think that Republicans can't be funny. They can be. That comic, however, not so much.

2. Today's Mallard Fillmore
Someone liberal says something stupid in first panel. Second and third panel are taken up by a close-up of Mallard with one eyebrow raised making a pithy remark designed to show how stupid liberals are/how right conservatives are.

Repeat for tomorrow and the day after and the day after the day after... etc.

3. Everything that guy draws looks like a foot.
Someone please take his black crayon away until he learns how to make a comic strip.
