Just joined The Corps.......

:patriot: .... the DU Activist Corps, that is. :bounce: and got my assignment done ... only 30 minutes late on that one too!!! :shrug: Felt good though ... common let's get some more late comers (my life story) into the DU Corps!! anyway here's what I just sent out ... :)

Let's not play politics with our National Security.

Though I may disagree with Republicans on most issues, we all as Americans reside in a country based on the freedoms,
laws, and values our Constitution guarantees.

In the United States federal officials must take an oath that states "I will support and defend the Constitution of the United
States against all enemies, foreign and domestic."

The Intelligence Identities Protection Act of 1982 makes it illegal for a government official to reveal the identity of an
undercover intelligence official of the United States of America.

Karal Rove outed Valarie Plames undercover status as a Covert CIA Operative. In doing so he had damaged the ability of
Plame to do her job. Putting her at risk, and anyone else who was seen with her in her undercover status. This at a crucial
time when National Security is of the utmost importance, she had been taken "out" as an asset when one would think
operatives and secret agents of Our Country are needed more than ever.

Such an Incompetent act at such a high position in our government requires accountability, just as it would in any corporate
enterprise, regardless of the motivation for such an act.

But this goes further, a crime has been committed. And Karal Roves actions in this matter are dangerous to our National
Security.. His character must now be in deep question, even to those in the present administration. What other high crimes
against our Country might he commit in his pursuit of political revenge in the future? Valarie Plame and those like her
represent all Americans in their duty's to protect us against other nations that seek to do us harm.

Karl Rove must be immediately terminated from his present position in the White House while the ongoing investigation of
this probe continues. Thank you for your time.

1. Hi....I just joined too and wrote my rove letter

am not confident of being published....these RW local newspapers down here just don't print letters from libruls...it's very discouraging. Our Progressive Dem group has been writing and writing, and once in a great while, one of us gets published. Oh well. I will leave copies of my letter in empty grocery carts at the local gro store tomorrow. Someone is bound to read one.

Maybe I'm abysmally bad at searches, but wasn't there still a lot of discussion, even as of yesterday, about what the assignment would be?

Is there a consensus on actions that need to be taken, and what gets top priority? :)

13. you're right it does feel good

I e-mailed mine to our independent weekly paper. It was good experience for me. I tried writing it from the web page for the paper and then my hot mail wouldn't put it through. Painstaking...I don't type very well and I lost my first draft. So I had to go through my own e-mail to send it. I noticed that the Weekly has a big Karl Rove editorial this week so who know if I'll be published. The other really extra-cool thing is Howard Dean is coming to Boise tomorrow. He's giving a public address in the park, $25.00 for a box lunch and then a more private address at the Black History Museum. It was actually a good thing that I had to go through my e-mail to send my LTTE because the local party had left some e-mails I never checked requesting an RSPV if we wanted to go to the more intimate setting to hear him speak. OH yeah, baby, am I ever in. I got my OK today that there is still room. I don't care if I have to eat Raman Noodles 'til next year! I'm going. Howard Dean speaks for me. I just wish I'd gotten off my ass sooner and ordered up one of those LIAR shirts about rush limpbaugh, from DU so I'd have something cool to wear.

I like Raman Noodles too !!!! Gotta sacrifice somewhere to take our Country back !!! If any of us get published we should post the scans somewhere, maybe in the DU Activist Forum.
