E-Mail message I just sent to Tweety
I got SO MAD at Tweety giving Mehlman (sp?) time to repeat his lying propaganda over and over this afternoon, I decided to send him the following suggestion.

Hi Chris,

If you were a real reporter instead of someone who is a propaganda-enabler, you would take the Republican and Democratic talking points each day and report on them instead of giving party spokespersons endlessly airtime to repeat them their propaganda.

You should do something like hold up a piece of paper and say something like "this is what the Republicans want to tell you today" and "this is what the Democrats want to tell you today." "These are the points you are going to be hearing from the parties on the media all day."

Now, THAT would be reporting.
-----

I don't suppose he'll take my suggestion, but I feel better sending it. I think I'll send the same message to a few other tv pundits - oops, I mean "propaganda-enablers."

2. Good for you - I am really in a twit about his show tonight.
But it is the Dems I am mad at - where the hell are they on this?

Rove committed treason. Rove committed treason. Rove committed treason.

11. Somebody higher up than Rove
committed treason, too. He didn't have clearance to even know what he told Cooper. Fitzgerald is investigating the disclosure of classified information that was leaked PRIOR to Wilson's op-ed article from aboard AF-1 on its way to Africa. It's a violation of the Espionage Act, and more heinous than even Rove's treasonous outing of Plame. I hope Miller cracks--but, even if she doesn't this is gonna get good.

15. Well, I think they _try_
but we're just not as organized as the Repubs on this. They have lists of people all prepped to go out on these shows and spout their propaganda. They have a team that calls up the shows and arranges for their folks to get on them. It's all part of the "echo machinie" that they've been working on for 20 years.

I think the Dems are working on organizing in that fashion but we're not there yet, we just don't have their kind of structure and organization in place yet.

21. I'd love to know
what sort of "deal" the Repubs have with these shows. I know they have this "echo machine" all set up and they have these surrogates that go on these shows to spout their propaganda.

I wonder - do they just call up these shows and say that they'd like to send someone on? Can they have as much time as they want? Do the shows pay for them to be on?

And next questions... when will the Dems ever be as organized???

5. So should I take this to mean I don't need to bother watching the Hardball
rerun tonight?

I missed it - last night of T-Ball.

Was the entire show worthless or just the Mehlman part?

The Today Show let Newt lie and smear all over the place this morning. It was pathetic.

Ed Schultz said Joe Wilson will be on the Today Show tomorrow. I hope so because he is getting smeared all over the place and no one is defending him.

10. Tonight Tweety Was Waaaaaaaay Over The Top
He must be on "brownstain" watch. This scandal has his name written on it to, and he's gonna try to do an objective show on this topic? Tweety, who has been questioned in this case? Tweety, who knew, just like Larry O'Donnell and others for months it was Rove who leaked, and still played "dumb" about this issue.

Tonight was incredible "whorr-ry" of such a word exists. I strongly suggest this be watched if you're in the mood to either get very pissed or are bulimic and need some motivation.

Yep, Mehlmann's on the first segment...at least 12 minutes...spewing those debunked talking points of the other day. He's racing a mile-a-minute (always a tip off they're lying...along with the blinking eyes). What got me is Mehlmann kept saying "well as you know, Chris" before he'd hit another lie like Wilson wasn't asked by Chenney as so on...and Tweety agreed. Journalism? Bullshit. Armstrong Williams would have asked tougher questions.

Then comes Mrs. Greenspan and David Gergen. Gergen's compromised cause he knows how bad this thing is and the damage it's gonna do to his drinkie-drinkie buddies...but he's semi-tolerable. Mrs. Greenspan spews the latest talking point with the intonation that this is some partisan parlor game going on. And Tweety's doing his usual puttering and throwing obnoxious questions that sound like he's got a 12 year old brain.

It wasn't until the third segment...almost half way through the show that he finally had a Democrat, Bob Schrumm (go ahead...ready, aim fire)...who had to try to get words edgewise between both Tweety and Ed Rogers...another paid-for talking head that needed a gig since Crossfire was cancelled. At one point, Rogers throws a real whopper out there...Schrumm is dumbfounded (go ahead...ready, aim fire) but before he can respond, Tweety goes to a quick commercial break.

I tuned off after that. Even Faux would have been more "balanced".

Thank you for the email, and I hope others are as outraged as I am.

Cheers!

Actually just wanted to give a heads up here...that's a lot more valuable than an email to the corporates. They knew what this dude is doing and pay him nicely to do it.

His ego can't deal with reality...especially a true critcism. They live in their fishbowl and until their air runs dry and their careers dry up, they're totally out of touch with reality.

Cheers...

Too bad Tweety didn't retort Mehlman's frothing praise of Rove in regards to Rove telling him that Wilson's wife was fair game.

If that doesn't mean something right there, then I will turn into a pig and fly away.

19. I stopped watching Hardball last year after Tweety
had the lying scumbag John O'Neill on and let him skewer John Kerry.

I've never watched his show since and I don't care if Christ himself was a guest, I still wouldn't.

Chris Matthews is a disgrace. He's no journalist at all. He's a whore bought and paid for.

Just turn him off.

The only show on MSRNC worth watching is Keith Olbermann but don't bother this week. The bimbo who replaces him is almost as bad as Tweety.

30. Actually, Tweety was the only one that SKEWERED the Swifties
I don't know what show you saw, but the series I saw he was *****extremely tough**** on them, exposed the contradictions and lies in their stories and was pretty relentless that it was a BS attack on Kerry's honorable service ---

HOWEVER, that being said, it was soon after that that Hardball got blackballed by Rove, and then Tweety started playing real nice with the Repug Flying Monkee Machine.

That MSNBC newsbunny has some real balls.

Maybe that's where Tweety's went.

29. heres mine:
topic: SOFTBALL

Thats right, your show should be called SOFTBALL. Your
show tonite with Ken Mehlman and Ed Rogers was a
DISGRACE. How dare you call yourself a journalist. How
dare you claim that you ask the tough questions. You
just gave these people a podium so they can LIE. LIE!

It is a FACT that Joe Wilson NEVER CLAIMED that Cheney
sent him to Niger.

The facts of the case are that Cheney told the CIA to
investigate the Niger/Uranium claim.

The CIA decided to send Wilson to Niger to
investigate. WHY?? Because as Valery Plame suggest to
CIA officials, her husband
- Has over 20 years experience in Africa as a
diplomat.
- Knows on a personal basis the leaders of Niger.
- Has experience and is familiar with Uranium mining.

In addition, Wilson's claims that Iraq HAD NOT
contacted Niger regarding uranium was BACKED UP by 2
other independent investigations.

AND YET YOU LET THOSE RNC SPOKESMAN DISTORT THE FACTS
OF THE CASE. HOW DARE YOU CALL YOUR SHOW HARDBALL.
