"It's disappointing that once again, so many Democrat leaders are taking their political cues from the far-left, Moveon wing of the party. The bottom line is Karl Rove was discouraging a reporter from writing a false story based on a false premise and the Democrats are engaging in blatant partisan political attacks."

-RNC Chairman Ken Mehlman

“In February 2002, I was informed by officials at the Central Intelligence Agency that Vice President Dick Cheney’s office had questions about a particular intelligence report. …

It's right there in fucking black and white on their own fucking website. :grr:

3. Responding to Repuke Lies
According to Seymour Hersh:

“In the fall of 2001, an unsupported allegation by Italian intelligence that Iraq had been attempting to buy uranium from Niger in 1999 was snatched up by Cheney. Sometime after he first saw it, Cheney brought it up at his regularly scheduled daily briefing from the C.I.A., Martin said. “He asked the briefer a question. The briefer came back a day or two later and said, ‘We do have a report, but there’s a lack of details.’ ” The Vice-President was further told that it was known that Iraq had acquired uranium ore from Niger in the early nineteen-eighties but that that material had been placed in secure storage by the I.A.E.A., which was monitoring it. “End of story,” Martin added. “That’s all we know.” According to a former high-level C.I.A. official, however, Cheney was dissatisfied with the initial response, and asked the agency to review the matter once again. It was the beginning of what turned out to be a year-long tug-of-war between the C.I.A. and the Vice-President’s office

So, Cheney was brow-beating the CIA to come up with more evidence to invade Iraq (totally consistent with the “intelligence-fixing” reported by the Downing Street Memo). Wilson’s trip to Niger was a product of this as, in an effort to mollify Cheney, the CIA decided to send someone to Niger to follow up on the rumors (based largely on forged documents) that Iraq had been trying to buy uranium from Niger.

Furthermore, contrary to Rove’s statements to Cooper, the CIA has always claimed responsibility for sending Wilson to Niger. Plame’s role in the CIA’s choosing Wilson was minimal. She did write a memo to her superiors describing her husband’s familiarity with highly placed officials in Niger, but it was not her idea that anyone be sent there in the first place, much less her husband. Wilson has made this very clear in explanatory statements supplied to Congress.

4. Reading that link (gop.com)
I would conclude that the CIA should just go out of business. They certainly aren't undercover an any way. Looks to me like everyone knows everything about everything! It is rotten that any group could so undermine every part of a once great government that it is truly defunct! The world has to know that this bunch is perpetuating a farce and terrorism be damned, we need help from the free world to get out of this mess!

5. By Rove, you've got it!
The CIA is the problem. It needs to become extinct. No need for intelligence anyway-we decide-your trusting, loyal and always trutful government. We know what's what. We make it up to fit our plan if need be. That's what decisive leaders do. And let's nix that stupid UN while we are at it.

If they weren't so obvious..well they would be sneaky. But no..they are so obvious as to practically yell:"I'm a stinking liar criminal and whatcha going do to me..na na na!!"

Cause my supporters will just make up more crap to defend whatever I do.

Meanwhile,I just about bang my head against the desk endlessly.
