PROGRESSIVE TALK RADIO ARRIVES IN BATON ROUGE!
Thanks to a petition effort that topped 1,000 signatures, Clear Channel has agreed to switch one of its Baton Rouge stations to a progressive talk format. Smart and funny hosts will start telling the Capitol City the truth on Tuesday, July 12th, at 6 A.M. Set your radio dial to AM 1380, WYNK-AM, to start your day with Morning Sedition, followed by Jerry Springer, Al Franken, Ed Schultz and Randi Rhodes.
The launch will make WYNK-AM the first progressive talk radio station in the entire Deep South. If the format succeeds in Baton Rouge, Clear Channel will consider switching stations in New Orleans, Shreveport, Lafayette and elsewhere.
We're counting on grassroots support from progressives to make the new format a resounding success. Please set your radio dial to AM 1380 and share the news that Al Franken and other truth-telling hosts will hit the Baton Rouge airwaves on AM 1380 this week.
