But a little more nicely than that. I've been watching, and I swear, my daughter thinks I'm losing my mind because I was screaming at the TV.

And I really wish The Shrub would STFU. He looks like SpongeHead DumbAss in that suit, by the way.

5. Hate him...
...dammit I do respect him on one level. I like the fact that he doesn't seem to have a politcal agenda. He goes after everyone. I do not agree with his attacks of St. Mother Teresa, but none the less. Now the scary guy there is that lightweight pussy Jon Fund. Is it just me or does he look like a guy who would be a member of NAMBLA?

...why the fuck are they breaking in to cover Pres. Numbskull sign the condolence book and his remarks, who cares?

I don't necessarly like Hitchens, but I do respect him on one level. Now I HATE Jon Fund, going back to the Cliton affair. He was just another one of the people delighting that they finally had something to take down the president with.

22. You hate Fund back to the Clinton affair and don't hate Hitchens...
Did you forget that he contacted Ken Starr and his nutty band of men and filed a false affidavit in order to become one of only three people called to testify before the U.S. Senate that was trying to impeach Clinton.

He lied about what his friend of 15 years, Sid Blumenthal, said and the context in which he was speaking with him. Hitchens just wanted to be on tv and have his moment in history. He was an utter embarrassment for all journalists (a profession which actually had a little respect back then) because he voluntarily revealed his source and provided stupid testimony that had nothing to do with the matters at hand. In other words, he just wanted to be part of the rightwing noise machine. And if you think he does not have an agenda just google him and look for articles about him - not just articles that he has written.

12. Hate him... Alot English hate all things Catholic...
i'm sick of their anti-Catholic TV shows, jokes, stereotypes and bullshyte! Bloody bastards!

Goes back to Tudor times when the English basically stole all Catholic property and killed or converted all the monks, nuns and priests. Then they had a civil war basically about it. Then the whole Irish wars..

Yup they have a thing about Catholics, esp good ones they like to attack.

a picture, stick men or something. Hitchens is such a drunk, he looks like he's going to keel over. He loves money and the sound of his own voice, nothing more. He's what you'd get if you skinned William F. Buckley.

For most of the interview it was Reagan against the other host,Hitchens and some moron from WSJ.Typical MSNBC.

She is a former Faux News pundit who once on Maher's show reffered to Carter's and Clinton's presidency's as failed and also reffered to them as jackasses when they dared speak out against the war way back in 2002.

19. Remember the John Fund scandal a few years ago?
--When John Fund got his ex-girlfriend's daughter pregnant -- and an abortion?

He took a "leave of absence" from the WSJ supposedly to write a book, but it was until the stink died down.

20. Reagan has been one of the very few voices of reason
Hitchens intimated that SH sponsored terrorism, and that makes the Iraq war a good thing.Reagan counters by saying that many countries have ties/links terrorism, does that mean that we should invade SA.

I will never forget the morning of the latest coronation, Reagan was on a panel of MSNBC pundits which included tweety. Tweety was busy spewing the rw talking points {spreading freedom etc} and said something about how great it is to live in US because in so many other countries people are hauled off to jail if they say something their government doesn't like. To that Reagan responded by saying that he didn't know how much better it is here, because he had seen protesters physically removed when they exercised their right to free speech, or for a t-shirt that was anti-bush. WOW. Of course tweety interrupted and he didn't let Reagan speak for a while, but that only furthered Reagan's point.

I was not familiar with Reagan until that exchange, but I knew then that he is a man of courage & integrity, a true patriot.

35. Yes, it is quite a contrast in values to see the young R.Reagan speak
truth to power!!!!

I see RR almost seethe when RWers spew their crap siting his father, as if the neo-con-whores had a more intimate relationship with his father than he had. Reagan speaks truth to power without bashing his father, which in and of itself is a lesson to me in class & dignity.

I have a lot of respect for Ron Reagan because he is always true to himself & Liberal values, and in his own words, "I am not a Democrat because I am a Liberal." I am a die-hard Dem, but I definitely understand where he is coming from. He is highly & faithful to traditional Democratic values, but the party itself is not so faithful.

30. George Galloway

Before the hearing began, the Respect MP for Bethnal Green and Bow even had some scorn left over to bestow generously upon the pro-war writer Christopher Hitchens. "You're a drink-soaked former Trotskyist popinjay," Mr Galloway informed him. "Your hands are shaking. You badly need another drink," he added later, ignoring Mr Hitchens's questions and staring intently ahead. "And you're a drink-soaked ..." Eventually Mr Hitchens gave up. "You're a real thug, aren't you?" he hissed, stalking away.
