We should nuke the Haj in Mecca (heard on RW spin show last night)
The Mark Christopher Show is some small-time RW radio propaganda show that I occasionally run across late at night while scanning through AM radio. I was curious as to what the wingnuts were saying about the London incident, and happened to stumble across a station carrying this Mark Christopher Show.

This caller, sounding stereotypically like we would expect a wingnut to sound, said (and I am paraphrasing here,):

"Well, ya know, once a year they all go on that "pilgrimage thing" to Mecca and gather at that big rock. We should just drop the big one right on top of that rock and don't you think that would send a message to 'em?"

That comment alone, while being vile, disgusting and uninformed, didn't piss me off as one sort of has to expect this sort of profound stupidity out of the mouths of Red Voters from Red States (or from Blue States for that matter).

What really frosted my cake was this so-called host Mark Christopher's response. Instead of challenging the comment for the horrible sentiments it engendered, he just said something like "Wow...this event has really brought some anger to the surface for some people," and then cut to a commercial break.

I think I need to go on total US media blackout or my head is going to explode! Arggghhhhhh!

2. I feel like Ed McMahon.."Just how stupid ARE they?"
If there was ever an argument for mandatory medication, that thuddingly moronic dundernoggin would be a prime candidate.

4. Funny how the wingnuts never seem to mention that.
Again, consider this image: a President Kerry, holding hands and KISSING a Saudi prince.

6. A Washington Journal caller said basically the same thing this morning.
He must have been listening to the same RW wacko nut job Mark Christopher Show. He said (I paraphrase) we should just give those terrorists an ultimatum. You either straighten up or we're finished with you and then we should just bomb Mecca. They're all NUTS!

8. Michael Savage has been pushing that strategy
Savage's show, without hyperbole, is hate speech. There's no humor in it. It is literally scary to listen to it.

10. I used to listen to the Savage Weiner out of sheer curiosity......
But I decided I'd rather not have a stroke. Agreed...that man is not entertaining...he's just downright scary and dangerous.

11. That is not unexpected from rabid xtians.
Their belief that the god of the Muslims is a false god makes it clear to them that destroying the holiest shrine of the Muslim faith would evoke no supernatural repercussions -- it couldn't, becasue a false god can't hit back. When the billion Muslims sees this happen, they will all recognise that they were wrong and immediately convert to the one true god.

Never mind that they are the same god. If one is false, they both are.

The same argument is used by those who want to re-build the Temple on the temple mount -- destroying the Dome Mosque will prove that they are wrong and we are right.

And people wonder why I'm an atheist. I say they are also atheists -- I believe in no gods and the Abrahamists believe in no gods plus one.
