Beyond Impeachment: The Bush Administration as War Criminals

In the wake of the Downing Street Memo and other leaked British documents created before the U.S.-led invasion of Iraq, many have begun to question the legality of the Bush administration’s actions. In particular, families of soldiers, a few Democratic senators, and hundreds of thousands of outraged Americans, are calling for an independent investigation of the Bush administration’s manipulation and outright fabrication of intelligence to justify the invasion of Iraq. The word "impeachment" is even being bandied about.

3. How are cases/trial initiated before the World Court?
I'm very curious.

Are there any other world organizations that can take action
(even if only symbolic)

And is there anything the UN can do to help us?

4. "How are cases/trial initiated before the World Court?"

Someone would have to file a complaint with the court. That 'someone' would have to be deemed by the court to have 'standing' sufficient for the complaint to be credable. 'Standing' would problably mean a highly placed official in a nation, or a international organization.

Think you can talk a country like, say China, into filing a complaint with the ICC? Or, maybe a highly placed UN Official? If a complaint was filed, do you think anyone could serve the requsite papers? Do you think it would do any good if they tried?

And, finally, are you sure that's what you would really want to do?
