We desperately need to - actually make that have to - backup the very few people who speak up. If we don't, they will wither and die, and we are the ones to blame.

It really depends on the guests--and the topic. Some days are good--other days will put you to sleep.. Monica is full of jingoist, pro-GOP drivel--Ron is more informed, thoughtful, and less assertive than I would like. But when Ron gets a zinger in--it is often a stealth slam that makes it even more powerful. The power of words.

When the republican,neo-con, religious right guests come on and try to invoke the name of their Reagan patron saint--it is really something to behold. Ron is annoyed, disgusted, and although he is careful with his words--you can tell he would really like to pummel them. And the name droppers appear pathetic when their ideas are so weak that they try to hide behind the Reagan mantle. It is a sight to behold.

9. I just emailed Ron and asked him to have Kristen Breitweiser on

his show while the Karl Rove mess is hot. I don't get MSNBC, but believe she should have a chance to vent her anger at Karl on every show. No one has more right than she.
