Zimbabwe & the New London Supreme Court decision -- parallels?
Let's check the headlines today.

One talks about New London, Conn. winning a Supreme Court decision that allows acquisition of private land by municipalities for private use. This extends across the country and changes the Fifth Amendment.

The second major story (and has been for weeks now) is President Mugabe's Operation Murambatsvina or "Drive Out Trash" initiative that's underway. This is geared to drive poor residents and business owners away from urban areas to make way for "urban revitalization" and clean up. Read the article and you'll realize it's a death sentence for thousands of people.

Does anyone see the connection here? The United States has just handed its property over to commercial enterprise. Ownership has now become 0/10ths of the law. Any designated area can now be absorbed by a large corporation with the support of corrupt city employees and the resident owner of the property can do NOTHING to stop it JUST LIKE IN ZIMBABWE!!

The constitution is now "brought to you by Walmart". I guess the only free place left to live is Mars. 20 desolate acres and a mule with a space helmet just isn't the same as the United States in my history book. That was freedom then, now it's just an old over used term like "chesterfield", "mule-cart", or "democracy".
