Senator Carl Levin D-Mich head of the defense council got up and asked the question. Who pushed for those 16 words to be in the SOTU? Just heard Carl on NPR opening questions as to the goings on behind the scenes of the SOTU. Carl is on it.

...i know many here were initially angry that the rhetoric wasn't more heated, but it actually seems there's a strategy. Take out Bush's foundation, demonstrate that he has NO integrity or credibility. Without his puppetmasters, he'll have a nervous breakdown and Poppy will remove him or maybe he'll be institutionalized...

Levin was just here this weekend in Traverse City. He rocks! He definitely has a strategy and, to steal a quote from Rob Roy, Where Levin goes the path must be firm and broad. He's no hot-head. Smart, strategic, methodical.
