Hate-monger Franklin Graham (on Anderson Cooper)
just said that "in Islam, the only way one can be assured of salvation is to kill in a Holy War." What a %$#@ing ignoramus! And rather than retract his infamous claim that Islam is an "evil and wicked religion" he basically reiterated it.

3. Yeah, Ole Billy turned it around as he grew older. Became a
supporter of a nuclear freeze, sought forgiveness from the Jewish community for anti semitic remarks when he had cozied up to Nixon. Moved to a large degree from a judgemental posture to non judgemental. As an acquaintance of mine put it, in comparison to the other electronic soul molesters out there, ole Billy has turned out to be a pretty decent person.

4. I think Billy was wrong in his younger days (he coined the term
"fundamentalist"!), but I think he was always motivated by a genuine desire to do the right thing as he understood it. I think most of the current crop are motivated by power, fame and their gigantic egos.
