I had a flag flown over the U.S. Capitol yesterday.
The certificate that will accompany my flag will state that the flag was flown in honor of "Summer Solstice 2005" Presented by me, to me. I wanted them to fly the flag at precisely the moment of the solstice, but that would have probably been pushing it. Seemed like as good an occasion as any to have a flag flown over the Capitol. Next time I will get one flown over the U.S. Capitol to honor the anniversary of the "Death of Democracy" and a flag to honor "The Rise of George W. Bush's Fascist Amerika" on November 2.

1. Will they really list those events on the certificate
if you request it?

2. Yeah, you have to make the request
via one of your Senators or your Rep. They have a little form to fill out, who you want it filled out to, when you want it flown. You can have it flown for any occasion which got me wondering... do you think they would fly a flag in honor of say... Stalin's birthday or something weird like that.

3. Military retirees have flags...
presented to them that were flown over the Capital. I think no matter what your politics I think it is an honor for an American citizen to be presented a flag that flew over our Capital, be proud!
