I'm sure you now realize how important it is that your students are taught this alternate theory. It is absolutely imperative that they realize that observable evidence is at the discretion of a Flying Spaghetti Monster. Furthermore, it is disrespectful to teach our beliefs without wearing His chosen outfit, which of course is full pirate regalia. I cannot stress the importance of this, and unfortunately cannot describe in detail why this must be done as I fear this letter is already becoming to long. The concise explanation is that He becomes angry if we don't.

I live in the Eastern part of the state (only a few miles from the MO border in a KC suburb) and it's hard to keep tabs on those small town assholes in the middle and western parts of the state. What can you do?

18. "myths & legends" - that's how dismissive & disrespectful

this group is of other sacred beliefs. A history unit on Native Americans had a chapter on "myths & legends." This is their religion they were addressing. The creation of the world in 7 days is a pretty far fetched concept, & the GREAT MAJORITY of people in this world would classify it as a belief of a particular religious group, not a science. I don't want my kids taught anyone's religious beliefs as a science.

Let us know if you get IRS exempt status for your "Flying Spaghetti Monster" church. Then we'll see if we can get the text books to include this important theory.
