However, I quit Veterans for Peace (VFP) and stopped my monthly allotments about three months ago.

Why? I experienced such a disconcerting interaction with another DU member who claims to be in a leadership position at VFP and know Stan Goeff personally. I came away from this exchange, saddened and disillusioned - with the distinct impression that VFP's leadership was only out to prosecute the ground troops for war crimes and not necessarily support those who are genuinely there because of the poverty draft and/or stop loss. If this impression was in error, the DU members I exchanged comments with did not stand up and claim otherwise?

I was grateful to have an accurate picture of her role in VFP. In fact, I thanked her for giving me the straight scoop. If you wish for more information contact a member named Tinoire. She is very capable of speaking for herself.

Presently I support Disabled American Veterans http://www.dav.org/ , but have been frozen out of VFP by some of their more IMO extreme behaving members.

this at that unmentionable right-wing site that lives off of DU, could ever have donated a single dime to VFP much less been a member. I called you on your BS and your bad embroidery job was exposed.

The following posts are incompatible with your *claims* that you ever were a member. VFP members don't believe in levelling an entire Iraqi city because 5 mercenaries were killed. Nice try. If we stand for one thing, it's for peace, P-E-A-C-E, we certainly don't stand for this kind of crap:

Bottom Line: Disarm the area and show a strong "secure" force that will enforce law and order on the streets ... if the forgoing succeeds it will result in scattering the insurgants elswhere in Iraq and, no doubt, where the locals are less tempted to be welcoming to extremists.

No, I had been a member of Veterans for Peace since late 2003 up until about early March this year.

You are so THICK minded that you will not allow yourself to consider that someone can value military service, yet work for peace.

You also would be surprise if you took the time to PM me and honestly get to know the person behind the screen name that I'm a liberal Catholic. That, I suppose in your mind makes me totally nuts because I don't fit neatly in your FAR LEFT view of the world.

Forgive me, for I do not value the fringes of either political spectrum. Immediately after the invasion I thought up through the first year (albeit I was against such action) that enough "boots on the ground.

If you would had PM'd me after our altercation a few months ago, I would of given you my name and email addresses of people I correspond with in VFP.

But you HATE blinded you. It's also sad that the people who I DID WRONGLY mistreat at Malloy's board, still do not have it within their heart to forgiven me. That's sad for I'm genuinely sorry to have behaved juvenile during my early months on his board.

In conclusion, I'm genuinely sorry that you have harbored so much hatred for my person. Tracking my posts on CU is really "less than balanced" because, as *twisted* as you may believe my values are, I've not ever been proven a liar.
