sometines Christians (in this case Catholics) are strange . . .
though I stopped decades ago, my brother still attends our local Catholic church, and occasionally leaves their weekly newsletter lying around . . . I ran across this week's and, out of curiosity, found myself browsing through it . . . pretty standard fare, except for one "WTF item" . . .

seems they have a chapter of Teens Connected by Christ (TCC), which I guess is some kind of national program for Catholic youth . . . in their listing of summer events, I found the following . . .

"On August 7, it's back to the Mall for a remembrance of Patriarch Joshua and the battle of Jericho with Laser Tag" . . .

WTF???? . . .

5. the thing i remember about folk massess is that after the mass, the
community it formed, and the beautiful music that was played in it, you went home to a normal life ... none of this crazy right wing stuff attached to it..

4. Welcome to DU, hemp_not_war.
They killed everyone but Rahab, the harlot who betrayed her people by helping them. They did that sort of thing a lot in the Old Testament.

:hi:
