Presidential historian, Alan Lichtman, concludes his interview by saying that:

"Graveyards in this town (DC) are littered with the bodies of those who have under-estimated George W. Bush"

Obviously, he's talking about enemies who "lost" "elections" to Bush and Bushism--Al Gore, McCain, Kerry, Daschle. I wouldn't say McCain and Kerry are political corpses, and Gore is a strange case, but Daschle was definitely killed by Bushism.

I would find it hard to believe that any intelligent person would think Bush is a master of democratic politics, as Clinton was. It is not, in other words, possible to underestimate Bush on that score. What people tend to underestimate is the depths to which the Bushists are which to sink to gain power and keep their grip on it. I wish someone would say that on CNN, rather than gloss over it and pretend Bush's political "success" is in any way legitimate.

Soledad was fawning over how powerful dubby was in some areas.
Lickman says he* is the hedgehog president who just plows through no matter what. Then mentions dubby's fallen detractors followed by big smiles all around. :sneer:

What ever he meant... the wake of dead bodies represent people who have under-estimated the ruthlessness of Bush in war, politics and business.

The point is that these dead bodies are his fault and he should be held accountable. I doubt that the speaker intended this as the point... but that's the truth I found in his words.
