How much pain would cause you to tear the hair from your head?
Edited on Sat Jun-18-05 08:11 PM by xray s
The media attacks on Senator Durbin consistently only mention bits of the FBI memo, in an effort to diminish the nature of the torture at Gitmo. One thing they consistently leave out is the fact that the prisoner was lying next to a pile of his own hair he had pulled out.

There is a good reason why they leave that out. Because it indicates the extreme pain the prisoner has endured. Possibly from other punishments not witnessed by the FBI.

Most people could understand torturing someone to the extent that they pull the hair out of their head is dead wrong. So, the MSM ignores it, and instead attacks the messenger, Senator Durbin. That tells you all you need to know.

2. Tearing the hair from your head.
Ponder that, then cue Newton Gingrich and his call for censure of Durbin and no end of pontificating by repukes on "morals".

Black and barren souls. To a man.

3. having to defend these comments from the 'ever savage',
'ready to pounce at any moment' repukes is just a waste of time and a diversion from the real issues (that could actually benefit our people). Watching what we say a little closer, thereby reducing the amount of ammo at their ready, would go a long way toward advancing our cause.

4. Maybe they forced the prisoners to explain what Bush means when he speaks?

6. If people actually had to go through such treatment they would have
a completely different opinion on this. Even if it was just mental torture that can be even worse than some physical torture. I am sure these guys are already in deep depression, in jail, away from their families then someone comes in and starts trying to scare the shit out of you in who knows what manor. Then lets it get to be 120 degrees with blaring rap music for 48 hours. I would be pulling my hair out and on the fringe of insanity.

We are supposed to be better than that.
