In an ideal world, this book would be read by everyone, but as this book brutally proves, we do not live in an ideal world. What is perhaps most shocking about this book, through the endless evidence of immorality, inhumane behavior, and ugliness man is thoroughly capable of, is the fact that America here and now is experiencing this same sickening frenzy and mania.
At the risk of sounding utterly pessimistic, I know that there is no way people will read this in the numbers mankind needs, and that for many that do read it, the blinders of self-righteousness allow them to excuse their own beliefs from those they read about.
The current administration knows the public frighteningly well.

1. War is a force that gives us fabricated, fake, hubristic, morbid,

holier-than-thou, hateful meaning.

3. Chris Hedges just referred to the Faux Snooze coverage

of the war to be "pornographic" the way they had retired generals bragging on our weapons and their destructive capability.

Faux Snooze imho is pornographic no matter the subject. Someone please pass me a loofah.

2. I read this book shortly after it was published several years ago and

it moved me deeply. Hedges spent years as a war correspondent and has explored the ways in which leaders convince people that the horrible atrocities committed in war time are justified. You will recognize many of the techniques employed throughout the ages being practiced today by this corrupt administration.

A must read for anyone who is troubled by man's inhumanity toward man.

4. So I ask: How can PEACE be presented to the masses so that it "gives

us meaning"???
