I am starting to become an Arianna Huffington Fan
Every day she puts out a great article:

Is Scott McClellan Writing the New York Times Headlines?

Is Scott McClellan Writing the New York Times Headlines?
Headline in this morning’s New York Times: "Antiwar Group Says Leaked British Memo Shows Bush Misled Public on His War Plans"

Antiwar group? Now where would the Times get the idea to characterize a hearing being led the by the ranking Democrat on the House Judiciary Committee that way? Hmm... Yesterday’s White House press briefing might offer a clue. When asked why the president hasn’t responded to a letter about the Downing Street Memo sent by John Conyers and signed by 122 members of Congress, Scott McClellan replied: "Because I think that this is an individual who voted against the war in the first place and is simply trying to rehash old debates that have already been addressed." When reminded that all those other House members had also signed on, McClellan shot back: "How did they vote on the war -- the decision to go to war in Iraq?"

Okay, I get it... The White House’s position is that the only ones who care about whether the president lied to the American people and misled Congress (an impeachable offense, by the way) in order to win support for a preordained invasion of Iraq are anti-war crazies. And the headline writers at the Times duly follow suit. Ah, yes, the liberal press...

4. Yes - but I remember when she was a very outspoken RWingnut.
That makes me wonder. Of course - she has divorced her husband since then. Maybe he influenced her political beliefs?

7. Her Republican husband was running for the Senate.
I don't blame her for supporting him. But, she got divorced and began to show her true colors.

6. I love, love, love Arianna Huffington
I know that she was a right winger before~~~but anyone can make a mistake, and I believe that her positions were based on being married to a rich republican who ran for California Governor. She is sincere in her support for the anti-bushCo movement. Plus, she is very outspoken and she rankles the repugs big time. We should all endeavor to win over republicans whenever we can. Just because they are republicans does not mean that they are all fixed on every position. As distasteful as it may be to have to discuss politics with a republican we should do so because we need support from all sides to bring an end to this illegal war and to hopefully get bushCo impeached. If enough republicans begin to question the legality of going to war with Iraq we are that much closer to our goals.

This may upset some people, but I'm not saying we should spin our wheels with die-hard repugs. Anyone who thinks that President Clinton is responsible for any of the current woes in America is, obviously, a waste of time. :applause: :woohoo: :applause:

^5 to Arianna. You go girl.
