Stay on Topic. Iraq, Iraq, Iraq!
Time has come to stay focused.
All Iraq talk, all the time.
Need to keep momentum going from DSM meetings and efforts in House to force a vote on a timeline for Iraq pullout.

This will require something that we Dems are not very good at - MESSAGE DISCIPLINE.
Whenever other topics come up, we need to use the opportunity to turn the discussion back to Iraq. (e.g. When asked about Durbin comments, Dean comments, Clark on Faux, Jacko's finances, Schiavo's autopsy, Cruise's engagement, etc.).
Our answer to EVERY question is this: "Well, you know, that's an interesting topic but right now we just can't afford to spend much time on it because the situation in Iraq must be addressed immediately due to the release of the Downing Street Minutes showing that we were misled into this war, that it is rapidly detoriating and that there is no end in sight."
When they follow up with the "yes, but don't you think that blah, blah,blah"....Our answer needs to be, "That topic, while interesting, is not a LIFE OR DEATH matter, Iraq is, which is why we must etc.etc."

1. Kinda depressing really
We already know half the people in the U.S. voted for Shrub without caring whether the Iraq invasion was legal. That's half the people in the U.S. without much concern for others' lives. What about 9/11? Why don't they care about finding the man responsible for that?

How can we impeach Shrub on this when this is what half the U.S. wanted? They wanted to kill hundreds of thousands of people in order to boost their ego, and clearly NOT a way of making us more secure.

The answer is we must show the world that NO WE DID NOT WANT TO START AN ILLEGAL WAR. And there's only one way I know of doing that which is impeachment.

2. Before that can happen
Dems must regain control of the House. Only way that happens is to keep up the pressure on Iraq and tie the House repubs future to Bush's falling approval numbers. We need to now become the "Bring Them Home" party. The numbers are with us on this. No matter how our reps voted on the war resolution, they need to now loudly say that they (and all Americans) were misled/lied to. This is not only true, it is also GREAT STRATEGY. Those who initially supported the war and may have voted for Bush (once or twice)....may be looking for a way to ease their conscience. The DSM gives them that out...."Yep, we were all lied to. Time to end this war".
