2. Stunning
That ought to teach any one to go up against a celebrity...no matter how weird and twisted said celebrity is.

4. People don't get convicted...
...based on how "weird" or "twisted" you judge them to be.

11. Seriously, they really don't.
to the dismay of all conformists who get their panties in a wad whenever they witness a person who sticks out of their notion of "acceptable behavior", "acceptable appearance", "acceptable language", etc.

14. Especially When You're A Celebrity
living in the state of California.

Are we to now to accept grown men sleeping with children on a regular basis as "acceptable" now that the man child famous for doing it has been exonerated?

Jackson's appearance, language - not in question here.

16. As far as grown men sleeping with children...
it's not my call or yours whether that's "acceptable". If you think it isn't, then help make it illegal. Since it's not illegal, whether or not it's "acceptable" is completely irrelevant to the question of whether or not he molested kids.

21. Not "anything" goes
Anything LEGAL goes. By definition. And since he doesn't molest them, according to our system of justice, and since merely sleeping with them is not illegal according to that same system -- yes, he can continue to sleep with them.

24. Well, that's the liberal way, don't you know
Liberals think it's perfectly acceptable for middle-aged men to sleep with other people's little boys. In fact, they ENCOURAGE it. In fact, if any behavior is not illegal in the strictest definition, it's all well and good!! Imagine the possibilities!!

25. You're wrong.
Liberals think it's perfectly irrelevant whether or not something is "acceptable" to your social norms. Your position is completely equivalent to the fundies' drive to legislate based on their religion and their morality.

29. Do you have to register when you move anywhere?
Because you're really scaring me. Chalk it up to my awful "fundamentalist" values and judgmentalism about grown men sleeping with little boys.

If that's all you've got, then thanks for proving my point.\

Edit: also, I didn't say your values were "fundamentalist". I said that your values are irrelevant -- as are mine or anybody elses. The word "fundamentalist" was used to point out the equivalence between your position that your values should influence the legal system, which is incidentally also a position that religious fundamentalists hold.

little boys unacceptable are just a bunch of loons.

This is a sad day for the boys in Michael Jacksons future.

22. You're not a bunch of loons --
-- unless you're proposing that the legal system cowtow to your sense of "acceptable", which is analogous to legislating according to a particular religion.

10. This is surprising? He's a multimillionaire
CELEBRITY....

ANYTHING is available in the US if you have enough money.

ANYTHING.....

I do believe he is is a very sick individual but the parents of these kids are also at fault. They choose to allow their kids to associate with a 45 year old MAN who has been twice accused of child molestation. If he were not insanely rich he would not have such ready access to willing parents and children.

12. If I were on that jury I couldn't have voted guilty
The prosecution had a weak case and they left a reasonable doubt.

But my personal opinion based on my own common sense--is that he's a slime ball and a nut job.

I certainly hope these imbecile people out there will set their kids welfare and not their wallets as their number one priority from here on out.

13. I"m here with a group of cheering kids. This vendetta was outrageous.
I was expecting a not guilty verdict. But imagine all the wasted money on a needless trial. I've a feeling that they'll think twice before going after Michael again.

What a lot of people don't realize is that Michael's music inspires today's kids as it did kids twenty-five years ago. Despite his weirdness, he's a real hero to most kids, and, for their sake, I'm glad the jury did the right thing. The judge was completely pro-prosecution in all his rulings. He did his worst to help a conviction but the prosecution's case was weirder than Michael.

He's got a major problem...The man is a pedophile, which goes beyond being weird.

The jury was presented by evidence from both sides and they gave a unanimous verdict. Yet, you disagree. Why? Is it not because he's "weird"?
