"That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed.

1. No one wants to resort to bloodshed yet

People only do it when they've been deprived their livelihoods as well as their freedoms.

If Americans were forced to endure the kind of crushing poverty and despair that folks in countries like Venezuela had to endure for decades, then the stage will be set for "a people's revolution." Until then, comfort will keep most people from fighting, for they will reason they will have much to lose.

I'm not saying let the greedy bastards have the wheel and drive the country straight into the ground, but what I am saying is that peaceful remedies must be tried first.

If you cannot form a mass opposition movement so powerful that you could shake the very foundations of the nation's economy coast to coast when it screams, "strike!" for instance, then you should not skip over that step and go straight to violence. You must have the support of the people in general.

You'll fail and be executed for treason or imprisoned for life if you don't do that because the people were not yet convinced to come along with you.

2. Bloodshed? Who said anything about bloodshed?
Impeachments, trials and long prison sentences would do the trick.

3. The context of the Declaration of Independence, that pretty much called it
The Declaration of Independence only came after decades of trying to petition the British Crown to address their grievances, and the Crown told them to get lost, so they opted for war when they reasoned all peaceful remedies had been exhausted, for declaring independence, and for publishing that famous declaration.
