Best amendment
Which is the best amendment to the Constitution?

I'd have to say the first; it guarantees all the others.

1. First, followed by the Fourth
Each amendment has its place, but these two are probably the cornerstones of the Bill of Rights.

2. One that hasn't been written yet
that would forbid anyone with Bush DNA from ever entering government as either elected or unelected officials or even as advisors.

Or how about an antinepotism clause that states high office is closed to the next 5 generations of any family which has held it. I know that would eliminate the Kennedy kids and grandkids, but that might be a good thing. The last thing this country needs is any family dynasty.

3. The Second "guarantees all the others" if We the People fail
at the ballot box.

Do the People have the courage to rise up and take back our government if all else fails? I doubt it! To many are willing to throw in the towel and go to another country rather than stand and fight. Others simply say their vote won't make a difference and don't vote.

With patriots like that, the corporatists who back the Bush cabal and enough Republican and Democratic senators and representative to get bipartisan bills passed favoring the corporatists agenda are gradually creating a plutocracy.

I see nothing but dark at the end of the tunnel if the people don't exercise their power.
