A question on coverage of the new Gallup poll, please answer if you can
Edited on Sat Jun-11-05 12:29 AM by dissent1977
Earlier today I posted a thread at
http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=view_all&address=102x1539830

The post was about the recent Gallup poll showing the corporate media getting all time lows in their confidence rating. Well other than the editor and publisher article I linked to in that article I have not been able to find a single corporate media source that has reported on this poll yet. There were some other blogs that reported it, but the rest of the media seems to be ignoring the story completely. Considering the corporate media is usually very quick to post poll numbers, their complete avoidance of this one is very telling.

So my question is this, has anyone else seen any corporate media sources report this story?

2. All right no has responded with a source yet
Does this mean there are no sources? They ignore a story that would make them look bad, and then they wonder why we don't think they're credible.

3. PLEASE READ
Respond to this post if you have looked at this thread, but do not know any sources.

I want to see if people are reading this thread, or if it is that people do not know of any sources so they are unable to respond.

Your participation will help show that the corporate media is ignoring this poll, because they don't want people discussing how crappy their reporting is.

6. Their lack of coverage explains their poor ratings!!!
They are just to busy getting their hair done, their shoes polished, and their nails done.

Here is an exemplar; why approval of print and television news is at 28%:

NBC's Golden Girl: Well Paid But Tarnished
Penelope Patsuris, Forbes.com, 12.12.01, 1:15 PM ET

NEW YORK - Investing in frills like foreign news bureaus may be out, but overpaid personalities are always in style in the network-news industry.

Yesterday the news industry was shocked--shocked!--to learn that NBC's Today Show cutie Katie Couric is about to land a contract for between $65 million and $100 million for as many as seven years' work. And she'll be lucky to get it given her recent track record. After all, the morning shows ratings have gone down in the last three months...

Wow, now there's a person I TRUST for my political Jones. She's right on top of things and that creep co-host, Matt Glower, well he's another Edward R. Murrow, Not! award winner (remember, said he never met the * family and then a photo shows up w/him playing golf with the esteemed familia...give me a break.

These people are a disgrace!
