5. Out of curiosity...

What are the numbers on petitions that have spurred congressional action in the past? What is the "average" size of petitions submitted to our elected officials?

I think that that would be a useful comparison. It would also be a good talking point for the media when we are talking up this issue to be able to say "So and so's petition in <year> had <X number> signatures and achieved <this result>. We feel that Congress/the President should treat this petition with all the same seriousness that it deserves."

Anybody got that kind of info?

that signed who didn't but would have if they had internet access. At least 10 more for every one who signed.
I think there is a ratio to extrapolate how many people one signature or one letter represents, but I don't know it.
