Freepers...Whatever Happened to "Rugged American Individualism"?
Did it ever even exist, or was it just some myth made popular by movies like "High Noon" and the like?

Behold the freeper...truculent (sometimes even to the point of making death threats) with "the libruls" and "the homorseckshuls" and "Hollyweird" and all the other people who the freeper pretends are "elites" but, in truth, have little power and absolutely nothing to do with the freeper's actual lot in life.

And yet, servile to those that actually do have power over him and his family...the elite that outsources more and more of the jobs, runs up the deficits, makes medical coverage impossible for ever greater numbers, and on and on and on. Would the freeper ever dare take on these folks? Yeah, right. Not only that, the freeper actually devotes his energy to ostentatiously trying to shout down those "little guys" with the guts to take on those with all the power to whom the freeper does his bowing and scraping, as if to say, "I hope master notices and finally makes me one of the house slaves!!!"

The freeper: The ultimate suckup, fit only to be the slave he is?

2. And much to proud to admit he is a slave
Many living in their trailors with bush signs out front, mustering up enough gas money to take their welfare stamps to walmart. And by god, voting for every republican on the ballot.

4. I've started reading, "What's the Matter With Kansas?"
We've got some really confused and naive people living in this country. They've been manipulated into an illusion and are actually voting FOR the greediest and most corrupt "elitists" and AGAINST their own interests.

Hopefully, the tide is changing.

6. "Rugged Individualism"
is one of the greatest propaganda hoaxes ever perpetuated on the American people. RI, however, is grounded in The Great American Myth.

RI performs the same function as 'One People, One Nation, One Leader. In either case, the individual is subservient to ideology and powerless against either the collective, or powerless in isolated singleness.
