Things We Know We Can Do
By John Edwards

In my last post I talked about how poor people pay more for everything. For as long as we’ve faced this issue, there have always been some who say poor families just need to work harder at saving and spending their money more efficiently. Well, the evidence shows it’s never that simple: it’s a lot easier to save and spend wisely when you already have the means – and that much harder when you don’t......

1. Wow! Thanks for posting this...
I campaigned my heart out for John Edwards last year, and sobbed bitter tears when he conceded to Kerry. Not enough in this country ever even heard of him, much less heard his ideas and saw his genuineness, and how much he was devoted to being the people's president. Even after all he's been through, he's still determined to make a difference for those struggling with poverty. I still grieve for what could have been.

3. I know it...
But dammit! It could have been so different. WTF was up with all the rush with the compressed primaries??? America never had a chance to hear him. I think that's exactly what the BFEE wanted. They were scared shitless that people might actually hear a politician who could clearly speak the truth and give us real hope for the future. Dammit!!!!!
