CNN: Cheney offended by Amnesty criticism
Vice President Dick Cheney said Monday he was offended by Amnesty International's condemnation of the United States for what it called "serious human rights violations" at Guantanamo Bay.

"For Amnesty International to suggest that somehow the United States is a violator of human rights, I frankly just don't take them seriously," he said in an interview that was to air Monday night on CNN's "Larry King Live."

I kid!:dilemma:

Actually he is the one that was WMD crazy and crazy for going into Iraq on something other than humanitarian reasons and it left out the UN, all those troops and replaced it all with 'commerce' as in Haliburton.

Unfortunately if they had pushed the UN to go in for various humanitarian reasons, the UN would have been in charge of procurement, a huge market would have developed and the Iraqis who now run the insurgency would have been busy signing deals with all manner of money toting oil dependent nations outside Iraq. You bet those phone lines would be working!

But no. Cheney had to push for WMD, gave Rumsfield a pass on his 'cheap war' plans..and we ended up with the insurgency - which is now connected to Islamists.

Good work Buddy! My heart aches for how Amnesty International offended you. You started a bad war & even worse... a poorly planned one.

14. Cheney shit on everything America stands for today.
"For Amnesty International to suggest that somehow the United States is a violator of human rights, I frankly just don't take them seriously."

This is the nature of fascism...absolutely no questioning of the absolute good and infallibility of the state. Dissent, in other words, cannot be taken seriously.

The crap Cheney spewed out of his mouth today has provoked a visceral anger in my unlike anything I have ever felt towards this administration and it's Un-American policies and rhetoric. The fact that he spewed it on a day when we honor those who have died for the principles of freedom and dissent America stands for makes it particularly repugnant.

:grr:

16. I'm offended Amnesty was forced into having to make such criticism.
I'm offended bush and his Cartel approved torture and still do.

I'm offended bush & his Cartel render detainees to other nations to be tortured.

I'm offended by bush's concentration camp and gulags.

I'm offended by bush & his Cartel. Period.

17. Well, I frankly just don't give a shit what Cheney thinks.
He can go Cheney himself. He is in a SERIOUS state of delusion if he thinks the US actually didn't deserve that report from AI.

Wow, what a lunatic.
