... here in Miami. He was the original anchor for a television station here that, over ten years ago, was one of the few in the nation that gave birth to the "if it bleeds, it leads" "news" philosophy.

The station is, of course, now a FAUX affiliate.

"Ricky-Ticky," as he's referenced here, is not only fucking dumb as dirt, he's had one failure after another and just keeps rising to the top, like shit in the sewer.

One of his many claims to meida and television "fame" was the showing of a child being brutally whipped by his father - after which Ricky-Ticky attempted justification with the "spare the rod..." rationale. Yet another of dozens of examples of how much of a Republican, fundie tool that he is.

To cap this all off, a number of years ago Ricky-Ticky was involved as a driver in a serious automobile accident here in which the other driver died. There was strong suspicion that alcohol was a contributor on his part but, somehow through his media and Cuban connections, he got away pretty much with a "get out of jail free" card.

He's slime of the highest order.

10. Yup. First noticed him during the hurricane Andrew coverage...

He was very "man of the people", even sporting a heavy daily five o'clock shadow to show that he had been out in the field and too busy to shave. He was pretty porky back then. Thinned down a lot.
Years later we noticed that MSNBC had him on for a quick second, and then he was gone. Then his own sorta talk show live from Miami, which I couldn't listen to at all because he blatantly had his head up bush's ass the whole time.
Which, I suppose is the reason that CNN decided to bring him back to the "big time".
