Speaking of Newsweek . . . .
I've been meaning to pick up a newstand copy to show a little support for them against the bullies at the white house, but I can't find it at any of the places I normally shop.

I'm sure it's at Borders and Barnes and Noble, but I don't have time to go there right now.

I haven't seen Newsweek at any of the three supermarkets I frequent, at Walgreens, at Target or at the various convenience stores at which I stop.

I've seen Time magazine at a few of these places, but no Newsweeks.

What gives?

1. That's easy....
Corporations own the supermarkets you shop at :) :sarcasm:

2. You're going to support them..
..for employing journalists who practice shoddy journalism?

Newsweek is another "liberal media" outlet who is helping the Right smear the "liberal media"; there's no reason to support them for making a mistake.

4. Now YOU'RE supporting the RW propaganda! FBI and Red Cross
memos have proven the story was valid. Plus, the WH criticized Newsweek and blamed them for the riots AFTER the DoD had already released a statement that the riots had nothing to do with the article.

This is just like Rathergate. Killian's secretary said she did not type the memo. HOWEVER, she verified that the information was TRUE!

In both cases, the stories were true and damaging to B*. However, B* was able to overshout the real stories.

This is the message we need to get out. Although the sources were questionable, the STORIES WERE TRUE!

Yes, we need to support Newsweek and CBS.

5. Newsweek used to be everywhere,
supermarkets, drug stores, etc., but I haven't looked for it for years. I actually had a free subscription to it for three years for a contribution I made to NPR. Anyway, although I agree with you that Newsweek is not the problem, and that the * administration is using them, I feel that it is Newsweek's obligation to stand up to them. I just wonder why they don't. Then again, perhaps if they received more support from readers, they would be encouraged to do so.:)
