DeLay hides behind NASA mockups to avoid protestors
DeLay's press conference will be held on NASA property protected from any protest. This is the first time a NASA administrator is to hold an all hands meeting with the employees with a Congressman in tow. DeLay is not expected to be introduced for fear of boo-ing in the audience.

NASA Administrator Mike Griffin and Congressman Tom DeLay Available Tuesday at JSC

NASA Administrator Michael Griffin and House Majority Leader Tom DeLay will be available to media at 4:15 p.m. CDT May 31 as Griffin makes his first official visit to the Houston space center since being named Administrator.

Media planning to attend the event should contact the JSC Newsroom, 281/483-5111, by noon May 31 to arrange credentials. The availability will take place in the public affairs media briefing room at JSC. Media should be in place at JSC no later than 4 p.m. Immediately following the availability, there will be a photo-opportunity at the International Space Station and Space Shuttle trainers facility.

Griffin began duties as the 11th administrator of NASA on April 14. He has been conducting a series of official visits to each agency field center. During the visits, he is touring each facility, addressing employees and meeting with media.
