1. Yes, they have.

And Americans should be outraged. I consider the Cheney/Bush administration to be the greatest threat to the Bill of Rights in the history of our nation. I do not say that lightly: I am aware of previous threats, and situations where individuals and groups of people were denied the rights and protections that are promised by the Constitution. But this administration is literally flushing it down a drain. And on a day when we remember the bravery and sacrifice of those who put it on the line for this country, we should keep in mind what it was they were fighting for. We should be outraged.
