Grrr Freepers on Cruise Forums
Edited on Fri May-27-05 03:07 PM by wakeme2008
I also post on a very good cruise board. On the sub Forum for Holland-American cruiseline today, a freeper started a thread about the only news you can get on HAL is LIBERAL news. He wanted something other than the LIBERAL CNN and LIBERAL NY Times summary newspaper.

He did not expect the reaction he got. Until they deleted the whole thread everybody told him to take a hike. :)

First the idiot did not know that you do not get CNN on a cruise but CNN International. IMHO there is a major difference between the news on CNN and it's International side. As for the NY Times summary, it is just that, 10 pages of news/sports on 8x11 paper.

LOL one poster told him to take his AM radio out on deck and maybe just maybe he could hear Rush.......

Myself on a cruise, the only thing I normally check out on the TVs is that LIBERAL Dinner Menu channel

1. Yes, freepers do go on cruises.

He sounds like the asshole we were ALMOST stuck with when we took our honeymoon cruise last year. We'd already contacted the maitre'd to ask if we could get a small table to ourselves since it was our honeymoon, and thank GOD they accommodated us after the first night.

The first night was pure freeper nightmare--there were four couples at our table: us, a lovely couple from Canada, and two freeper couples from Modesto. First they managed to say something offensive about Canada (can't remember what is was now, but the nice, nice, nice Canadian couple just sat there very quiet and uncomfortable from that point on), but when they noticed we were being served (yummy)imported French butter, and started bitching about THAT, we were ready to toss them overboard. Even though we didn't have to sit with them for the rest of the cruise, we did spot them around the ship throughout the week, and they were loud, obnoxious boors the entire time.

What vile people.

they could change your table. My last 12 dayer was on a ship with open sitting and just by chance of the draw, I sat three night with a lady I did not like, non-thing political just her.

edited to note: YIPES my 700th post. :(

8. They don't go away. They just get LOUD.
And mixing liquor with it wasn't helping. I was more than happy to leave those losers at their table and walk away.

4. Heh, reminds me of a cruise story
My wife and I were on a cruise and talking with some folks on the table at breakfast, about what, I don't remember. Someone mentioned a particular story that they saw on CNN or something, I think it might have been me, and this was the response.

"Oh, we don't watch that channel. We watch that other news channel, you know, the Republican news channel."

I responded, "Um, Fox?"

"Ya! That's it!"

My wife kicked me under the table keeping me from saying anything further. We quickly finished our food and left for our excursion.
