12. She's just speculating there...
Unless he's eaten babies and gang-raped kids, I don't think anything worse can come out. Even then, would it make any difference these days?

2. I think a "Nay" vote was a vote for cloture.
According to how the question for the vote was phrased.

:)

14. He fell just short of saying
"There you go again" didn't he? Why would he vote nay? And what does that mean that Vonivich switched his vote?

Did they do a roll call for the record?

6. Voinovich switched at the end
It may be some parliamentary procedure so he can bring it back for a vote.

9. Sounds like First may not have the votes to get him confirmed...
so, delay closing the debate until he can twist some more arms. Otherwise, some real shit is going to hit the fan on Bolton and he does not want to put a vote forward.

11. A shot at McCain by appearing "lesspartisanthanthou" for the media.
Edited on Thu May-26-05 06:05 PM by blm
And he probably knows that SOMETHING is about to drop concerning Bolton, and this way it makes McCain appear duped by the neo-cons.

I think the really religious voters were uncomfortable with Bolton's "take my wife to orgies and have anal sex with her drugged body" personal life.

Actually, I don't know, but I thought it would be fun to take another shot at Bolton for posterity.
