For Andy
Edited on Thu May-26-05 05:50 PM by Horse with no Name
Somewhere over the rainbow
Way up high,
There's a land that I heard of
Once in a lullaby.
Somewhere over the rainbow
Skies are blue,
And the dreams that you dare to dream
Really do come true.

Someday I'll wish upon a star
And wake up where the clouds are far
Behind me.
Where troubles melt like lemon drops
Away above the chimney tops
That's where you'll find me.

Somewhere over the rainbow
Bluebirds fly.
Birds fly over the rainbow.
Why then, oh why can't I?

If happy little bluebirds fly
Beyond the rainbow
Why, oh why can't I?

15. Thanks, Merh, it does
I'm glad Andy seems to be doing well. Now we just have to see what the biopsy of "Bev" tells us.

9. Thank goodness you can't hear my voice
I love to sing, however, it's not a reciprocal pleasure for anyone else in earshot.

Munchkinland

Come out, come out, wherever you are and meet the young lady,
who fell from a star.
She fell from the sky, she fell very far and Kansas, she says,
is the name of the star.
Kansas, she says, is the name of the star.
She brings you good news. Or haven't you heard?
When she fell out of Kansas
A miracle occurred.
It really was no miracle. What happened was just this.
The wind began to switch - the house to pitch and suddenly
the hinges started to unhitch.
Just then the Witch - to satisfy an itch went flying
on her broomstick, thumbing for a hitch.
And oh, what happened then was rich.

(Chorus)

The house began to pitch. The kitchen took a slitch.
It landed on the Wicked Witch
in the middle of a ditch,
Which was not a healthy situation for the Wicked Witch.
(Chorus repeated)
... Who began to twitch and was reduced to just a stitch
of what was once the Wicked Witch.

:)

And here's a goody I made a t-shirt from once. Everyone should have one:

Thank you, HWNN!

8. Well I have to confess
My 2 year old granddaughter LOVES this movie--the monkeys don't even scare her, lol.
She choreographs the entire thing by singing and dancing (I get the biggest kick when she puts her hands in her pockets and does "The Lollipop Guild",lol).
SOooo I watch "Wizard" at least twice a day every day for the last 4 months, lol.
But...it brings her such joy--I could never say no.:)

12. Wish I could show you my impression of the "lollipop guild" boys
 I demonstrated it once in public in an effort to get in to the movies for half price. It didn't work, thank god they didn't charge me double. :silly:

It is still requested at family gatherings.

14. Tonight, Andy Gave Us A Rendition of...
Munchkinland
"Come out, come out, wherever you are and meet the young lady, who fell from a star.
She fell from the sky, she fell very far and Kansas, she says, is the name of the star.
Kansas, she says, is the name of the star."

And a little of "Don't Cry For Me Argentina"

As well as "Paper Trails to You" (I joined him in a duet on that one, lol!)

Demodonkey (on the ground in Baltimore)

PS -- He's actually a very good singer! :-)
