PLEASE WAKE UP SHEEPLE!
Fox is feeding you lies, while they provide you with a swell "circus" to keep your feeble minds occupied......

Grogin said Fox is No. 1 for the season among the 18-to-49 age demographic, a group crucial to advertisers. That's a first in the 19-year history of the network.
***How ironic??? "the 18-to-49 demographic" is also crucial when the draft comes back****

1. Oh please stop with this BS. People vote many times in that contest.
This is such a crock... why are people still yammering about it?

2. Ummmm...one gaping hole in your theory.
You can vote more than once. Really, in theory you can vote as many times as you want.

Thus, the numbers are quite skewed.

It's kinda hard to call in and vote for your Presidential candidate 40 times in a week. Our election system doesn't really allow that.

6. I said last fall the presidential debates should include a
Dance-Off. THAT would get people watching.

7. You can vote as often as you like though
Teens can sit and text message till their fingers are blue. As far as the circus entertaining feeble minds, I really do think we are entitled to SOME entertainment! :)

9. you don't have to be 18 to vote
it's a teen show that is divided on the last two standing as the last two presidental nominees!

Divide and Conquer should be the fox network catch line

10. People have also been known to use computerized power dialers to vote
Fox claims that they weed those out, but no one really believes them.

11. I can see both sides of this. I would bet that
if there was simply an analysis of the number of unique voters, it would still be overwhelmingly high.

But, consider.

Anyone, anywhere, of any age can vote, and they don't even have to leave their houses.

That alone would explain the amount of votes.

That and the fact that anyone can vote multiple times.

But still, that's a lot of votes for such a pathetic show.

I am disturbed by the amount of votes...

12. Not quite . . .
American Idol received approx. 500 million votes over the course of the entire season, and it's possible for one person to vote hundreds of times per episode.

13. The Next Election For The Presidency Should Be Run Like.....
....American Idol. The Presidential Candidates can debate each other; the TV viewers can then vote to see which candidate receives the lowest number of votes and has to leave the contest. This process would continue until a President was selected based on his ability to debate and provide intelligent answers that make sense(or the way he/she parts his/her hair (piece), style of clothes he/she wears, whether he/she has a southern or Boston accent, etc.). It would be up to the American Public to tune in every week to place their votes and ultimately arrive with the candidate that had the most votes. Can't be any worse than the system we have now.
