I'm so pissed at the Court system right now, I could just scream.

I went to Court this morning with a friend who was accused of shop-lifting. I don't think he did it and the case was dropped but that's not what this post is about.

While I was sitting there (before his case) another case came up which involved this 18 year old that had stolen a car and smashed into a store (he was drunk). His parents where there and they obviously had tons on money...they hired 2 lawyers that are known to be very expensive.
Anyway..the lawyers start their "talk" with how it was just a prank and the kid comes from a really good family and blah...blah..blah.
The judge says "I see this is the 3rd time you've been in trouble for stealing a vehicle ..Etc.
Well..the Lawyers AGAIN start with..He comes from a important and good family and all that crap.
The kid winds up with an extra 6 months probation (he was already ON probation) and the judge lectures him and lets him go.

God-Damn it!...I sat there in the courtroom thinking "Yeah..if it had been some poor Black Kid with a crack mother and an abusive father the judge would have buried his ass UNDER the jail"

Son-of-a-bitch!..I hate the Justice system..

She got busted for drugs in Florida and got probation and rehab. While in rehab, she got busted with crack.

I know a rich guy from a well-known local family who flashed his actual penis and got probation. His lawyer was one of the most prominent criminal lawyers in town.

wealth isn't the only thing that comes into play on cases like this. The parents are obviously well connected enough to know , or know someone who's well connected to know the attorneys that play golf with the Judge.

The only way to really fight these bastards is public shame. If someone could get his picture leaving court, and summarize the case file.Then get it printed in the weekly local free times. It would be a start.

The problem is they've done a good job at keeping the serfs busy with 2 jobs to make ends meet. People scarcely have time to even go pick up the free times, let alone stake out the courts.

Stories like this happen on a daily basis in every town and hamlet throughout the land.
