Sam Seder made a good point about Bolton.
He said that in order for us to get out of Iraq, we are going to have to be midwifed out by UN probably Muslim forces. For this to happen we need someone who can patiently negotiate the deal. Bolton is not that guy.

1. Seder misses the obvious point, they don't want to get out of Iraq
After 300 + billion invested, does anybody actually believe that bush is going to walk away from it?

2. You may be right....sigh.
However, if things get nasty and we the unwashed masses insist that we get out of Iraq sixties style, we are still going to need UN help. I think this is the line of thinking Seder was on.

My guess is it's Bolton's job to destroy the UN even more image wise so nobody will listen to them. Remember that the UN tried to stop the Iraq war but then the whole "Oil-for-Food" scandal came up and all the rightwingers were going along with the Bush line etc. Bolton's job is to finish that so they can have more wars and nobody can stop them. If he gets through we're doomed.
