Can anyone post a link to a comprehensive feminist site
something w/ wage stats, political issues....

My daughter has a paper due in 2 days, and I'm failing at helping her find anything decent...bits and pieces is all I've gotten. NOW, Planned Parenthood... I know a few good ones exist.

Help, please!?

2. Here's one link:

http://www.feminist.org/global/beijing/beijnums.html

A few statistics from the Beijing conference with sources listed. There may be better sites, but most I could find were from other countries or global--I doubt if the U.S. would put much money towards collecting data that makes us look bad.

3. Why not google for specific bits of info?
I rather doubt ONE link has it all... there are so many issues.

4. It's almost 10;30...
She's wiped out, so am I. She has done the entire 210 year timeline, and is stuck on the 2005 - where we are now bit. Between rehearsals for the musical and my work w/ my son's class we are wiped, and have this done tommorrow (dress rehearsal, school open house...) then work on project.

I'm looking for the easy way out.

9. The UN Commission on the Status of Women
has most recent figures. Try this link:
UN Status of Women

The Commission on the Status on Women (CSW) is one of the first bodies established by the UN Economic and Social Council. Set up in 1946, it monitors the situation of women and promotes their rights in all societies around the world. It prepares recommendations and reports for the UN on any issue affecting women. In case of urgent problems, the Commission can press for immediate international action to prevent or alleviate violations of women's rights.

15. And one on pay equity
Women's pay

The gap between median earnings of full-time, year-round workers widened last year, with women's earnings 76% of men's, down from 77% in 2002. Women's earnings were $30,724, compared to $40,668 for men. The last time the female-to-male earnings ratio declined was 1998-99 (see table, "The Wage Gap over Time").Median earnings for women of color continue to be lower, in general, than earnings for men as a whole. In 2003, the earnings for African American women were $26,989, 66% of men's earnings (down from 68% last year); Latinas at $22,363, 55% of men's earnings (down from 56% last year); and Asian American women at $32,446, 80% of men's earnings (wage gap remained the same).
