The 7 "centrists" Dems will probably vote for her as a sign of "good faith." I'm just guessing.

While I can respect many of his principles, and his integrity, I CANNOT agree with him on matters of individual liberties vs. establishment and property.

The only thing that most Democrats had to reproach to Owen was that she is for parental notification. So I am not surprised that Landrieu voted yes, neither Byrd, for the matter.

Edited on Wed May-25-05 11:25 AM by Mass
but Democrats have spent much more time talking about Brown than Owen, so it would be difficult to know what else they reproach her.

So of course, Byrd and Landrieu are voting what they think their constituants would like (as did Chafee, of course).

Sad, but "c'est la vie".

And no, the other ones are not pro-death.

Is it already so lost that Owen doesn't change it? I have to believe that Byrd and Landrieu's crossover is part of a bigger deal/strategy.

Lieberman voted no?

There is some strange positioning going on here.

147. Bill Nelson (FL) at least voted NO on this one.
I have my doubts about him sometimes, and he drives me batty. But this restores some of my faith in him.

I really don't need to ask how Sideshow Mel voted, though.
