10. If a tuna salad sandwich had been sitting in the sun for 3 weeks,
Robert Novak would probably say that it's unsafe to eat. Recognizing the obvious doesn't make him wise, and there's nothing scary about agreeing with him on such matters.

36. Oh no Bob, there's plenty left to do...
Bob we still have stocks of Agent Orange we could spray on date farms!

There are tens and hundreds of thousands of tons of outdated U.S> Military bio-chem warfare agents sitting on US military real estate that could be burned in open air pits just outside of Baghdad Int'l Airport!

Do I have to remind you that we haven't tested any of our newly designed nukyulur Bunker Busters on real targets yet?

Bob I can't believe I'm hearing this from you of all people! There's LOTS to do before we move on from Iraq --and so little time!

8. just listened to both links...
Edited on Wed May-25-05 09:23 AM by flordehinojos
The Windows Media link plays back Lindsay Graham talking about his filibuster vote.

The Real Media link does play back the CNN Bob Novak saying, "I've always said Iraq is not going to be, {IOWA? I THOUGHT HE SAID?} but whatever it is that he said, now he says he always said it was not going to be easy to stay the course in iraq! ... my big question for bob novak is,

Are you back pedaling sir?

wasn't it you who always intimidated people, challenged them, to admit and sign on to your point of view that getting rid of saddam hussein was well worth the american blood it cost? wasn't it you, who always interrupted people who tried to make a case against the invasion of iraq by spitting your saliva in their faces along with the words,

is the world better off without saddam hussein?

wasn't that your position mr. novak ... and did you not make it difficult for anyone who said we shouldn't be there?

why, o why do i think you are giving us some underhanded backtracking of your words when you say,

we should get out of there!!!

o! how sweet it is ... what else, i wonder, about señor arbusto is, might be, beginning to rub you the wrong way?

43. FYI -- Novak was always against invading Iraq.
So was Pat Buchanon. Like a stopped watch, conservatives can sometimes be right. It just points out the extremism of the chimp administration, the he was way too far out even for conservative wackos.

In many cases, because of his position on Crossfire, Novak had to argue the administration position on the war, but he was always personally against it. He is, after all, a media whore.

Note: I do not defend any of his other bullshit!

he can dish it out -- but he can't take it. sorry but there is no compassion in this heart for novak, bush, or any of the rest of them.

And, as far as Crossfire is concerned they could have had a gret program if they were coming from their beliefs. Instead what they have is a dog and pony show.

They bill themselves as serious journalism. They are a mere circus.

NOVAK: Those people still feel that is the way to go. They feel it is imperative to get the hell out of there. We are losing support at home and the theory of those people is that as Ted says, they are an irritant to the Muslims, having the troops there, and it should be, ready or not, here we go. But the military, it is the uniformed military, they don't want to step out of the situation. They feel the Iraqi troops are not ready. They have to stay there.

I really believe that we have done all we can there and it is time to go and hope that things work out for the better. I have always said Iraq is not going to be Iowa, and I think it's their country and they have got to take care of it.

Much of the training is done in Jordan. Problem is after they come back large numbers of them join the Iraqi Resistance. Hard to win a war that way.

Certainly, no self respecting republi-thug would leave Iraq without securing several trillion dollars in oil revenue for Halliburton.

I just wonder what his evacuation plan is.

Myself, I believe that we never should have gone to war in the first place, and the sooner we get out, the better.

30. Hey Traitor - I mean Novak- do we take the permanent bases 2?

"Now U.S. engineers are focusing on constructing 14 "enduring bases," long-term encampments for the thousands of American troops expected to serve in Iraq for at least two years. The bases also would be key outposts for Bush administration policy advisers.

As the U.S. scales back its military presence in Saudi Arabia, Iraq provides an option for an administration eager to maintain a robust military presence in the Middle East and intent on a muscular approach to seeding democracy in the region. "

years on a war. they have chided, called names anyone that questioned the war to now say, time to go.

it says it took this man two years, and a lot of deaths to finally learn what we already knew, all the while refusing to listen to us. i would put that as a not very smart man

more will be saying it. what is happening in iraq was inevitable. history proves it out time and time again

45. 14 "enduring bases".
The Bush Regime has changed this plan. Now they are talking about 4 large basees instead. $8 Million was just spent on a huge, modern cafateria for the troops in Mosul. In the meantime, the funeral biz in Iraq is booming and children are dying from cholera from foul drinking water. There is good news though.

Bush Junta Iraq Successes

Saddam will no longer sell Iraqi oil via the Euro.

A military foothold in the ME.

No countries will be able to buy Iraqi oil that the U.S. disapproves of.

The Multi-Intl. Oil Corps are reaping great profits, esp. Bush Junta fave ally Saudi Dicktatorshit.

Why? I think it's because the Pope was, and Novak is a Catholic. However, I don't agree with his black and white way of going about it.

If we withdraw, we have to have an exit plan. I don't think * has a clue. Also, an exit plan would involve help from the UN and our allies, but * has alienated all of them including Great Britain, so for sure he doesn't have one.

It's great that Novak says that Iraq was a big mistake and we should get out. But he's one of the people who provided cover for the rush to war. He needs to finger the person who gave him the info on Valerie Palme and discredit the head warmongers themselves.

Commanded by his alien lizard overlords, Novak is the CNN/PNAC mouthpiece.

One can follow their strategy: save the troubled GOP because the midterm elections are coming up. And then there's always Plan B, which is to allow another terrorist attack against the USA, or orchestrate one, and then nuke Iran.
