I heard Jamie Gorelick speak last night
She spoke of leadership, and gave examples of leaders/non-leaders leading up to 911.

She spoke of the courage of certain individuals who tried to investigate (MN and AZ FBI field office agents, Richard Clarke etc) but were sytmied.

One thing she said struck me - maybe I have not focused on it before - that no one told the Secretary of Transportation about the warnings/intellingence in the system in the spring and summer of 01. Because Trans. controls the FAA - and because Trans. didn't know about the warnings/intelligence - the FAA didn't know. The FAA did not increase their security levels. 9 of the 19 hijackers triggered additional security checks under normal levels of security. If the FAA had increased their security levels, the additional checks on the 9 would have included opening and searching their carry on luggage - which would likely have revealed pepper spray, knives and mace.

So the issue was not that intelligence failed, the issue was failure to communicate the intelligence. The FAA and the Transp. Dept's were even told about the intelligence. That is truly unbelievable.

1. Where does a dead fish rot first.....
...in the head!

Of course it was the fault of those who were in leadership positions at that time and the very top leader, George W. Bush was reading "My Pet Goat" at a day care center 1,200 miles away from is leadership command facility!

3. I was thinking about those 7 minutes..
HE KNEW, didn't he???? He knew exactly what was going on. Maybe he didn't know WHEN or WHERE or HOW, but he knew it was coming. Look at his face after he was told the WTC was under attack. He looks like he was thinking about getting "friends" out of the country, not about the security that was breeched or the lives that might be lost.

Frucking animal..:grr:

....Pappy Bush can't recall where he was and what he was doing on November 22, 1963. There is link somewhere in there.

4. More coverage for Jamie and David Ray Griffin....
Why haven't we heard more about David Ray Griffin's book "The Next Pearl Harbor"

I think I first realized that they knew when I realized that after 1 year they still had not caught a dialysis machine-laden Bin Laden.
