FOX TV going "Over There" (Iraq) internationally-

Saw a commercial tonight-I wonder how they'll spin it:

By Steve Brennan
"Over There," a gritty new drama set amid the war in Iraq, will debut in the international markets exclusively on pay TV. The strategy marks what 20th Century Fox Television Distribution describes as a "new way" of bringing product to the global marketplace.

"We have been looking to find a project for pay TV (internationally) for quite some time, and given the content of 'Over There,' we thought this would be perfect," said Peter Levinsohn, president Pay Television and Digital Media, 20th Century Fox Television Distribution. "Our international partners have been willing to prebuy the series based solely on reading the script."

2. let me understand
the American public had to be sheltered from the reality of the war in any way shape and form. Now, there is money to be made presenting a fictionalized artificial program about the war. They don't want the real war, but want to watch the fake war. Sponsors will spend money to show the fake war while the real war is going on, but withdraw from programs that show the real war. :eyes:
Man, beam me up scotty.

3. Wow, beam me up also! I was thinking
this could be a good thing. I'm hoping the truth of what's happening over there might get some air time. My bad!

4. I saw a commercial for this or something similar to it
It'll be on cable TV here in the states. FX, I think.

Even more sickening: there's going to be a harrison ford film about Fallujah.

Hey, I know, let's make a movie about the hero Milosevic and his raping of Bosnian towns. We can have Bruce Willis star!

5. So, this is the M*A*S*H of our time?
Only pro-war instead of anti-war?
